Itinerary Details:
Day 1: SAIGON ARRIVAL
Pick up at the airport, we drive you to your hotel. The rest of the day will be free to start doing some scouting and take the pulse of the economic capital of the country!
Day 2: SAIGON –CAI BE – OVERNIGHT AT MEKONG LODGE
Depart from Ho Chi Minh city (clients’ own arrangement of land transportation from Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Be: approx. 120km).
Arrive Cai Be, greeting at Cai Be harbor and boat trip transfer to Mekong Lodge.
Check-in bungalows.
Daily lunch is served in the nice restaurant with the Vietnamese day-menu.
From 15h00pm: afternoon cycling tour to Tân Phong island, go to one of the orchard: approx. 10km along village paths, in passing 3 wooden ferries, in about 2 hours.
Cooking class in the evening & dinner in restaurant.
Riverside Bar are open until mid-night
Day 3: CAI BE –DONG THAP– SADEC – SAIGON
07:00 – 08:00am: breakfast in the restaurant.
From 08:00am: boat trip to the bustling floating market, visit handicraft villages, and Cai Be market on land, then transferred to Mekong Lodge.
11:30am: clear bill and check out.
12:00pm: boat trip transfer to Cai Be harbor
You disembark take the road to Sa Dec, "Garden of Cochin" where lived Marguerite Duras. This "little Venice East" with its many canals overhung small bridges is reminiscent of the famous Italian city. Day 4:SAIGON – QUY NHON

Day 6: PLEIKU – KONTUM
Departure to Kontum (50 kms - 1 hour drive), a superb site on the bank of the Dakbla, where traditions are maintained in the villages to the gates of the city. Visit the ancient wooden church whose pillars and framework are still original (1913), as well as the beautifully crafted door and stained glass windows that illuminate the nave. You will also visit the church Tan Huong and the orphanage.
A ride by bike or car for you to discover the city and its surrounding villages, the village Kon Kotu, beautifully lost in the woods in an exceptional setting, villages and Kon Tum Tum Kopong Konang, Ba Na villages whose very old village of Plei Tonghia, the long house of the Ede former chief of all minorities in the highlands Kon Robang, the stunning "rong" near the suspension bridge Kon Klor.
Day 7: PLEIKU –DANANG – HOI AN
Pleiku to Danang. And drive to Hoi An. On the way leveas Danang for Hoi An, we will stop over to take photos.
Day 8: HOI AN
The Japanese Bridge, the town hall, the museum of ceramics and Chinese temple, as many sites to visit according to your strolls. You can enjoy shopping as you walk through the narrow streets of this quaint town. Be sure to let you make custom flip flops, this is a must in Vietnam!
Day 9: HOI AN – DANANG – HUE
Departure for Hue by the collar of clouds. This is one of the most beautiful sites of Vietnam. The winding road on the hillside gives magnificent views of the bay. The neck is often surrounded by a thick fog and clouds that create a surreal effect.
You will pass the peninsula of Lang Co with its beautiful beaches and its fishing village. Arrive late morning in Hue, capital of the province, which has lost none of its majestic imperial charm and where you can admire many incomparable architectural works. Then visit the Citadel which covers an area of 5.2 km². Its architecture is reminiscent of oriental citadels with a French inspiration. It includes 3 speakers: Protective Enclosure, Imperial City Forbidden Purple City. Take a rickshaw to take a walk around the citadel, antique shopping, the modern city and the surrounding area to meet so warm and hospitable people.
Day 10: HUE – HANOI NIGHT TRAIN
Navigation on the Perfume River, the place must have seen Hue then visit Thien Mu Pagoda (Pagoda of the Celestial Lady). This is one of the oldest and most beautiful religious buildings of Hue. You will attend a prayer ceremony at the Pagoda eunuchs, the Tu Hieu Pagoda. Back in town to visit the Dong Ba market famous for its conical hats.
Departure for a night train to Hanoi.
Day 11: HANOI – HALONG
Arrived in Hanoi, take the new road and you will arrive in Halong at noon. Bay covers an area of 1553 km², its waters are home to no less than 1969 islands of which only 989 were baptized. All aboard for a cruise 2 days / 1 night on a beautiful wooden junk. The lunch and dinner are taken on the junk with excellent fresh seafood menu of the bay.
Day 12: HALONG – HANOI
We recommend that you wake at dawn to enjoy the bay. After a morning swim (depending on the season), you will sail to the port of Halong. Disembark and return to Hanoi via the new road through the vast expanses of rice fields of the Red River Delta. Stop on road to visit the But Thap Pagoda, famous for its architecture and ancient statues, located on the banks of the Duong River (Another option. Day 14: HANOI – CRAFT VILLAGES – HANOI
Early departure towards the village Chuong. This small village about 40 kilometers west of Hanoi and located on the banks of the Nhue River, is renowned for more than three centuries for its craft making conical hat. You will make a walk in the village before meeting a family who will introduce you to conical hats manufacturing techniques. Then you take the road to the old village of Duong Lam 60 km from Hanoi. With a thousand years of history, this ancient village has many houses dating back over 400 years. This is the only place in Vietnam that was the birthplace of two kings.
