Detailed program:
Day 01 : Dien Bien Phu – Muang Kua - Ban Sopchem.
Morning, meet our guide at Tay Trang border, then take mini van or truck to Muang Kua, then take traditional slow boat downstream on Nam Ou river to Ban Sopchem. Picnic lunch is on the way, arrive Ban Sopchem in the afternoon. Camping on the bank of the river or homestay (as you requested). Enjoy BBQ dinner on the sand beach or at villager’s home in Ban Sopchem.
Day 02 : One day trekking to visit 2 minority villages
Morning, we continue to take boat ride down to Muang Ngoi, where we begin trekking 30 minutes to visit Tham Kaang, the former sheltering cave for local villagers during Indochina war (1960-1972). Which has never damages with beautiful surrounding. After visiting, we will walk to Ban Houay Boor (a village of Khmu and T'ai Deng village), where we will eat lunch at villager's home. Then we continue trekking to Ban Na ( a village of T'ai Deng ethnic group). After working and living condition, we return to Muang Ngoi. Overnight at guesthouss
Day 03 : Muang Ngoi – Luang Prabang
After breakfast, we take traditional boat trip downstream on Nam Ou river to Nong Khiaw, then take mini bus to Luang Prabang. On the way stopover to visit the famous Buddha’s cave of Pak Ou. Picnic lunch is at local restaurant. Arrive Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel
Day 04 : Luang Prabang Sightseeing
A.M. Visit Vat Visoun, Vat Aham and Vat Mai
P.M. Visit Ban Xang Khong, know as weaving village and clime up Phousi hill for overlooking the city and sun set.
Day 05 : Luang Prabang Departure
Free time until transfer to airport or pier for departure
