RV RIVERKWAI 7-DAY/6-NIGHTGOLFCRUISE
The RV River Kwai, the first in land cruise ship inThailand, is a newly built colonial style river cruiser based on design sused by the originalI rrawaddy Flotilla which was founded in Burmain 1865 and by the 1920s was the largest privately owned fleet of ships in the world.
The RV River Kwai carries amaximum of 20 passengers in 10 teak wood cabins (singledeck) and operates on a7 days/6nights year round cruise program every Monday-Sunday.
The RV River Kwai opens up an entirely new area forriver tourism in Kanchanaburi province west of Bangkok. Every morning and afternoon land excursions are offered to visit attractions along the river including temples, historic sites, Khmer ruins, waterfalls, war cemeteries, hot springs, the bridge on the River Kwai, and local attractions, etc…
The RV River Kwai is also available for special Golf Charter Cruises on request.
The new option during the RV River Kwai is “RV RiverKwai Elephant Driving Licence”.
Lecture of basic information on elephants will be given on the cruisefollowed by exam, then proceed to Elephant Campto study how to sit, ride, feed and take care of elephant. Feel the spirit and become an AsianTrails Mahout!
If you decide to book our optional “RV River Kwai Elephant Driving Licence”, please bring with you photo of a size 2.5cmx2.5cm. The booking can be made together with RV River Kwai booking or during the tour directly with the Cruise Manager. The actual “Asian Trails Elephant Driving Licence” will be issued in Bangkok and delivered to you after the RV River Kwai Cruise.

The golf tour begins at the Evergreen Hills Golf Club & Resort, located in one of Kanchanaburis many beautiful jungle covered valleys. The course is not too long and welcomes players of mixed ability. Water comes in to play on many of the holes and along dog-leg par-4 17th is a course favorite. |

Breakfast on board. Today’s golf is at the River Kwai Golf & Country Club. Very rarely will you find a golf course in Asia with asstunning a back drop as the River Kwai Golf & Country Club. This beautiful 27-hole golf course, which can only be reached by ferry– liesin front of Kanchanaburis exciting mountainous peak sand relieson an abundance of local and imported flora and trees to brightenuos its fairways. It incorporates water hazards on most of its holes, has the occational blind greenand in many instances the golfer will have to rely on along tee shot to clear its charms. |

Thai Cooking Class: There is no better way to learnThai cooking than taking an authentic cooking class in Thailand. However this basic cooking class – on deck of RV River Kwai - will introduce you to the wonderful world of Thai flavors. During classes the school's instructional emphasis is focused on three things: traditional Thai technique, innovative use of ingredient sand a esthetic presentations. Spend a few hours learning to prepare a traditional Thai cocktail (MaiTai), authentic Thai dishes (e.g.Tom Yam Kung or Chicken Green Curry) and aThai green papaya salad (SomTam). Breakfast on board while cruising down stream to Wat Tham Khaopoon. Continue by coach to Kanchanaburi to visit the world-famous bridge over the River Kwai. The sturdy Iron Bridge spanning the River Kwai Yai, which was acrucial part of the Death. Railway, was built in some 16 months by Allied prisoners of warand Asian conscripts. The bridge was destroyed in Allied bombing raids towards the end of World WarIIand was laterre built by the Japanese as war reparations. Continue to the Thailand-Burma Railway Center Museum, an interactive museum which provides are markable research and information centre dedicated to presenting the story of the Thailand-Burma Railway. Finally, visitto the Donrak War Cemetery which contains the remains of 6,982 Allied prisoners of war who perished during the construction of the “Death Railway”. |
